Cody Redding, 45, of Cotesfield, NE, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at CHI St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE. Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Apfel Funeral Home in Wood River, NE.
Cody George Redding was born December 13, 1979, to Sandra Davis and David Redding. He attended school in Wood River before moving with his family to Cotesfield, NE.
Cody enjoyed spending his time with family fishing, kayaking, and mushroom hunting, and cherished taking care of his cats, whether they were his indoor companions or outside strays that he felt compelled to help.
Cody leaves behind a son, Darrin McManus; many siblings: David (Amanda) Redding, Cory Redding, Marlee (Gerardo) Juarez, Kelsey (Justin) Davis, Nick Bucy, and Taylor McManus; and grandparents: Eugene (Richard) and Ethel Redding. He also leaves behind a niece, Layla, who he absolutely adored, additional nieces and nephews: Alejandro, Isai, Angelo, Isabella, Xander, Aubriella, Brooklyn, Camdyn, Grayson, and Haven; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him greatly.
He was greeted in Heaven by his dad, David Redding; his mom, Sandra Davis; and his grandparents, George and Joann Davis.
