Colby Lucas Obituary
Colby Ryan Lucas, 23, of Wilson passed away Sunday evening. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, at White Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 3967 W. Hornes Church Road, Bailey. Pastor Hal Jones and Pastor Daniel Lancaster will officiate.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Colby loved hanging out with his special friends, riding Harleys, drag racing, riding four-wheelers. He was a very neat and precise person that loved his job with S.T. Wooten as a surveyor.
Colby is survived by his mother, Charlotte Price Lucas Hamm and husband, James; father, Derek Lucas and wife, Angela; brothers, Brandon Lucas, and Carter Lucas; step-sister, Alexis Thompson; maternal grandfather, Charlie Price; aunts, Tonya Gill and husband, Charlie, and Dana Innis and husband, Donahue; uncles, Charles Price, Jr. and wife, Teresa, and Benny Lucas; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jared Lucas; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Price; paternal grandparents, Betty and Benny Lucas; aunt, Terry Lucas; uncle, Gregory Charles Lucas, and cousin, Stephanie Clifford.
