Mr. Colby Thurman

Colby Brock Thurman JUNE 29, 1994 – OCTOBER 9, 2023 Colby Brock Thurman passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2023 in Monroe, North Carolina. He was only 29 years old. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his sudden death.
Colby was born on June 29, 1994 in Jackson, MS. He relocated to the Charlotte, NC area in 2005 with his family. He attended Parkwood High School in Monroe, NC. He later worked in construction and delivery. He loved doing delivery and made a career in the field for several years. Colby was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he had an enormous heart and never liked to hurt anyone's feelings. He enjoyed being around people even though he was shy until he got to know you. He loved the beach, vacations, shopping for clothes, and the Carolina Panthers Football Team. He loved food, especially chicken wings and sweets. His favorite color was orange. He always had to have a watch and hat on. He enjoyed music, bowling, playing pool, chess, and video games. He was passionate about dogs. Colby was very close to his twin brother, Cody. Colby did everything with Cody. He was not only his brother but his best friend.
Colby is survived by his mother, Amy Goode, sister, Chelsea Lazaro and family, brothers; Christopher Chase Thurman, Chandler Thurman, and Cody Thurman; and nephews Aiden and Elijah.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.
