Colleen Bryce Obituary
Colleen Mae Bryce, 67, of Houghton Lake passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on Saturday February 10, 2024 at MyMichigan Health Center, West Branch
Colleen was born on July 10, 1956 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Lawrence and Margy (Leach) O'Leary. She grew up in the Thumb Area of Michigan graduating from Armada High School in 1974. On July 25, 1986 in Port Huron, Colleen was married to Donald J. Bryce. The couple moved from Riley Center to Houghton Lake in 2000. Colleen worked as a bus driver and for many years in nursing facilities as a care giver to elderly, and special needs children. She was a caregiver to the core, taking care of elderly relatives and friends. Colleen enjoyed gardening, sewing, camping, and spending time with her dogs(Maddy, Murphy, and Willow). Her special love was spending time with her grandsons. She spent many hours at the school baseball field and track watching her grandsons with pride. She took them both on their first camping trip and taught them how to find a good deal at garage sales.
Surviving Mrs. Bryce are her loving husband of 37 years, Donald Bryce of Houghton Lake; daughter, Renee (Alex) Hargrove of Beaverton; son, Lawrence (Stephanie) Adams of Gladwin; two adoring grandsons, Braeden, and Nolan Hargrove. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents.
At the request of Colleen there will be no services. Memorial contributions in memory of Colleen are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
