Colleen Canale, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away after a courageous battle with breast cancer on May 2, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on October 7, 1975, Colleen lived a life of purpose, constantly striving to learn and grow in all areas. She was known for her wit and great sense of humor, touching the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Colleen's passion for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She cherished spending time with her father Vic (Pat) Canale, sisters, Jamie (John) Laurin, Vickie (Eric) Stephens, and Angela (Stephen) McCall, and was a devoted aunt to several nieces and nephews. Colleen attended all their special events, celebrating their achievements and milestones with enthusiasm and support.

A graduate of New York Chiropractic College, Colleen earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic, which was one of her proudest accomplishments, along with establishing and running her private practice for ten years. She also held a Master's degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition, reflecting her dedication to health and wellness.

Colleen was a passionate dog lover and found joy in the company of her furry friends. Her love for the outdoors led her to many adventures, and she particularly enjoyed attending live music events, where she would seek out various bands. Colleen was also an avid fan of volleyball, darts, and reading, hobbies that enriched her life and brought her happiness.

Her father, along with her surviving sisters and numerous nieces and nephews, will carry forward the loving memories of "Colleena". She is preceded in death by her mother, Sandy (Ed) Gilbert, and her brother, Jimmy Burdick.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on May 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a service at 6:00 pm at Calvary Chapel located at 103 Grampian Road, Liverpool, NY 13090. Colleen's family would like you to bring items to donate to HumaneCNY.
