Colleen A. Nettleton, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, after an extended illness.

Colleen was born in Wooster on Aug. 3, 1957, to James and June (Miller) Nettleton. Surviving are her parents; brother, Ed (Susie) Nettleton; sister, Sara (Ralph) Waggoner; her nephews and nieces that she greatly enjoyed watching grow up, Brandon (Lyndsey) Nettleton, Kayela (Nate) Garver, Brock (Megan) Nettleton, Alexander (Mary Kate) Waggoner, Bethany Waggoner, Catherine (Wyatt) Cluff, Daniel Waggoner and Emmeline (Noah) Doty and 6 great-nieces and nephews, Audrey, Ally, and Avery Nettleton, Timothy and Emilee Garver and Jack Nettleton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Ressler.

Colleen graduated from Hillsdale High School and from Grace College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. While living in Warsaw, Indiana, Colleen, a Registered Nurse, worked for the Kosciusko County Hospice and later became the Hospice Director. When she moved back to Wooster, Colleen was the Executive Director of LifeCare Hospice.

Colleen taught Sunday School and was a teacher in the Awana Program at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was a member and during the time that she lived in Warsaw, she was active in her church teaching Sunday School. She collected rubber stamps and enjoyed using them to make cards. Colleen also enjoyed reading, thrift shopping and making various crafts over the years and she loved her dogs, Malcolm, Molly, Morgan and Micah.

Memorial service will be Thursday, August 28th at 7:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Sterling with Pastor Stephen Olsen officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. A family graveside service will be held at Paradise Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe be made to Jungle Aviation and Relay Services, PO Box 248, Waxhaw, NC 28173.
