In Loving Memory of Collin Jacobs
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Collin Alexander Jacobs, of Woodbridge, Virginia. Collin's soul was deeply woven into the fabric of music, family, community, and cherished moments. He had a profound love for jazz, blues, gospel revival, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and occasional rock, which spoke volumes about the rhythm of his life.
Collin loved to eat. A connoisseur of flavors, Collin delighted in orange soda and relished the spiced crispy joy of Popeyes fried chicken. He also always loved a good, rich homecooked meal, especially those crafted by his mom. Collin's love for culinary delights mirrored his appreciation for life's simple pleasures.
Yet, his true feast was in the warmth of family gatherings and the laughter shared with friends. Collin's big brown eyes, huge smile and magnetic presence made him a go-to amongst family and friends in need of an ear or a good laugh. He was an excellent listener, a confidant who held the keys to all family secrets. His sly side smile revealed itself whenever he caught wind of good gossip, adding a playful note to his character.
Collin and his triplet siblings, Emma Rose and Laura, were born into the Fighting 6th Cavalry at Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood) Texas. His sister, Emma Rose, preceded him in death. His parents, Paul and Jill Jacobs, and his two sisters, Sarah Buskirk and Laura Jacobs, survive him, a testament to the enduring strength of the Jacobs family.
As we bid farewell to Collin, let us remember the melodies he embraced, the flavors he savored, and the love he shared easily and openly. May his memory be a harmonious tune that lingers in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday January 18th at Our Lady of Angels Roman Catholic Church at 13752 Marys Way, Woodbridge, Virginia. A celebration of Collin's life will be held immediately after the memorial service (noon to 3 pm) at The Ospreys at Belmont Bay 401 Belmont Bay Drive Woodbridge Virginia.
The family invites friends, family, colleagues, and community members to attend either the service or celebration or both.
