Comer Collins

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Comer Calvin Collins, aged 86, on April 18, 2025, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Born on September 10, 1938, in Clay County, Tennessee, Comer was a proud veteran who served in the Army from January 18, 1962, until his discharge on December 16, 1963, achieving the rank of SP4 E-4 (T).

Comer had a dedicated career in the manufacturing industry, having retired from General Electric. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Comer was preceded in death by his father, Porter Collins, mother, Esteline Collins; siblings, Omer Collins, Elise Lancaster, Elene Collins.

Comer is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Collins; children, Tim Poore (Amanda), Elaine Watkins (Scott); his cherished grandchildren, Justin Watkins (Laura), Timothy Poore, Emily Key, Sarah Poore, and Parker Key, and great-grandchildren, Brayden Watkins and Caden Watkins; his siblings, Buna Likens, Velma Gass, Domer Collins, and Jerry Collins

A visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, continuing on Sunday, April 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM also at Anderson Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Comer's life and legacy.

Following the service, Comer will be laid to rest in Moss, Tennessee in the Kendall Cemetery, where he will find eternal peace. The family invites all who knew and loved Comer to join them in honoring his memory and sharing in the love and laughter he brought into their lives.
