My mother-in-law Wanda Carrubba lived across the street from Connie. Everyday they watched their soap operas together. I have wonderful memories of being welcomed to join them when my husband and I were in town. Our deepest condolences to the family. She is fondly remembered.

Connie, you will be missed! I have so many fond memories of you from my childhood, from the smell of your favorite cinnamon Dentyne gum and the sounds of the "crackles" you were able to make with it as we would go on our trips to the store to get your lottery tickets, to having me over every day after kindergarten for Stella Doro cookies and a teeny glass of homemade wine with Pasquale, to our late nights in the screen house talking with the neighborhood friends. You treated me like I was your daughter. May you be at peace now that you are free of pain. Until we meet again....

Beautiful Connie, ugh.
I was blessed to be their neighbor for 7 years.
No other way to say it other than little Italy USA was at their residence.
The door was always open, literally. Old school, pop your head in and yell Ben/Connie! and you walked right in. Usually down stairs, Connie was making sauce or something incredibly delicious.
She´d have food already on the huge table, "have something, here".
I always enjoyed my talks with her. I loved her Italian accent, and I clearly remember her at Stop & Shop. She is loved and will be missed terribly. The picture I posted is from April 2021. I had popped in after a quick visit to Connecticut. They meant so much to me, that photo has been in my phone ever since.
