Concetta J. "Connie" Massimilla

Concetta "Connie" Massimilla (Romano) of Peabody, formerly of Lexington, on April 29, surrounded by her children. Connie was predeceased by her husband, Peter, whom she adored and her son, Justin. She is survived by her children, Talia Osgood and son-in-law Geoff of Peabody, Daniella and fiancé, Mark Darling of Peabody, and Peter, Jr. of Wakefield, as well as her grandson, Vincent who brought tremendous joy to her life. Connie is also survived by her brother, Dino Romano of Tyngsboro and sister, Maria Romano of Bedford, NH, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Connie was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Lucrezia Romano of Lexington.
Connie was born in Messina, Sicily on January 14, 1951. She came to America in 1958 via ship, with her mother and siblings, to join her father from whom they had been apart for several years. Connie grew up in Lexington, a town that would later lead her to meet her beloved husband with whom she shared nearly 37 years of marriage. Before having children, she was a hairstylist full time. Later in life, after raising her children, she returned to hairstyling part-time and had her own catering business. Connie's life was entirely devoted to her husband and children. In her younger years, when she wasn't running her kids around town to school, sports and other activities, or caring for her parents, she was cooking delicious meals and making her home the most loving and welcoming environment to her family, friends and her children's friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Adelaide's, Lowell Street, Peabody. Interment will be private.
