Concha Macias Torres, 88, of Richmond, TX sadly passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025 after fighting a brave five-year battle with dementia. Concha was born to parents Fransico and Conseulo Macias on September 29, 1937. Throughout her life, Concha always found love and happiness in all aspects of life and was a strong and independent woman well before her time.
Concha was a fierce domino and bingo player, always made sure the house was well decorated for the holidays, especially Christmas, and always made a point to keep in touch with her 13 siblings. Most importantly, she was an extremely dedicated mother and grandmother, affectionately known as Memaw to many. While she will be sorely missed, her legacy will forever continue to live on through the lives she made better by showing us all what pure and unconditional love looks like. Concha will forever be remembered for her love of family and for her care and generosity she showed towards others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fransico and Conseulo Macias; husband of 50 wonderful years, Frank Torres; and loving daughter, Helen Cortez.
Concha is survived by her loving sons Victor Torres (wife, Socorro Torres), Paul Torres, and son-in-law, John Cortez; her grandchildren Johnna Cortez Hoffman (husband, Robert Henry Hoffman, Jr.), Candace Courtney Cortez, Gabriel Alexandre Torres (wife, Mariah Torres), Nathanial James Torres, and Julianna Renee Torres; her great grandchildren Millie Jeannette Hoffman and Cecilia Rose Torres; brothers Esteban Macias, Clemente Macias, and Jimmy Macias, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loved ones.
