It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Arminta Brown Bouziden, who left us on March 13, 2025 at the age of 76. She was a beloved mother, sister and friend, cherished by all who knew her.
Connie was born on November 27, 1948 in Tulsa Oklahoma. Connie lived a life full of kindness, generosity, and humor. Connie attended Alva Public schools, graduating with the class of 1966. She married lifelong partner, Deboy Bouziden in 1968 where they made a home in Cherokee, Oklahoma and to that marriage son, Danny and daughter, Valerie were born.
Connie was known as an active member of her community. She was a member of Domes-ti-Kates, past county OHCE President, the Red Hat Society, and numerous church groups. She enjoyed crafting with the Saturday sewing ladies, attending the Tuesday morning Coffee Bunch and volunteering anywhere she was needed.
Connie’s legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Connie is survived by one daughter, Valerie Wescoat and husband, Denny of Joplin, Missouri; one son, Danny Bouziden and wife, Pam of Cherokee, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Ashley Abbott and husband, Mackenzie, Alyssa Wescoat and fiancé, Dylan and Mikeala Bouziden; three great-grandchildren, Jude Abbott, Raina Smith and Xayden Palmer; two sisters, Janett Murrow and husband, Steve and Louise Guyle and one brother, Lewis Brown and wife, Jenny who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Connie is preceded in death by her husband, Deboy Bouziden; mother, Etta Jean McDonald and father, Lewis Brown.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Cherokee. Viewing will be Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with family present from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee. www.lanmanfuneralhome.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
Memorial donations may be made in Connie’s name to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital through the funeral home.
