Connie "Blue" Gayle Bowling

"Blue" Bowling, 79, a resident of O'Brien, Florida passed from this earth peacefully on October 18, 2025. He was born on January 03, 1946 in Princeton, West Virginia.

Blue had a strong sense of duty and service and he dedicated many years serving his community as a sheriff's deputy with the Indian River County Sheriff's office. He also served in the United States Air Force as a Jet Engine Mechanic and had the honor of serving on AirForce One. He was also a devoted son and served as a caregiver to his parents, Eloise and Eldridge Bowling, both of which have preceded him.

Blue also enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially visiting yard sales, always in search of hidden treasures and friendly conversation. He found joy in the company of family and friends and cherished the love and laughter they brought into his life. Often he could also be found driving his tractor for hours, tending to his land or lending a helping hand.

Above all, Blue was a believer in Jesus Christ. His faith guided his life, his values, and the kindness he showed to others. He faced life's challenges with strength and peace, always trusting in the Lord's plan.

Blue was a devoted husband and survived by his beloved wife, Christine Porter. He was a loving father and survived by his children Terrica Thoumy, Charlotte Bowling, Tonya Reigel, and Robert Bowling and stepchildren Eddie Palm, Sherrie Mattatall, Wendy Whitfield, and Jamie Crenshaw. He was blessed with a combine family of 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his loyal brother Poncho Bowling.

Blue's legacy lives on through the love and laughter he shared, the lessons he taught, and the faith he lived every day. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.

In keeping with Blue's wishes, no formal service will be held. His family encourages all who knew and loved him to honor his memory in their own way - through kindness, laughter, and time spent with those they hold dear.
