Send FlowersConnie Mae DeBusk peacefully passed away on November 8, 2025. She was born in Brooksville, Florida on February 6, 1948, to the parents of William Carry DeBusk and Dorothy Virginia (Vivian) Ritter. Raised on an island in Ozello, Florida, Connie found joy by the water and fishing off the docks. She lived most of her life in Crystal River, Florida and worked at Crystal River Middle School for 30 years serving in the cafeteria, attendance office, and in classrooms as a paraprofessional. She truly loved the students she worked with.
Connie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was very active in her church community. Connie was kind to all serving others in and outside of her faith. She was a devoted mother, grandma, and friend. She cherished family history work, was an amazing baker, and became an avid quilter. She was always up for a shopping trip to Jo-Ann Fabrics!
Connie is survived by her only child Tricia Desourdy, Tricia's husband Michael Desourdy and their son Nicholas Desourdy, brothers Sidney DeBusk, Terry Moore, sister Cathey Metzer along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Connie will be held on Saturday, November 22 from 11:00am - 12:30 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 3474 W. Southern St. Lecanto, Fl 34461.
