Connie Sue Hall, born on January 30, 1942, in
Lansing, MI, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at her home in
Rock Hill, SC. She was 83 years old. Connie was lovingly surrounded by her family in her final moments, a fitting farewell for a woman whose life was dedicated to her loved ones.
Connie was the daughter of Marvin and Maxine Burrow. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lonnie V. Hall, as well as her parents, her sister Cindy Cassidy, her brother Bruce Lester, and a cherished grandson, William E. Wright III.
Connie is survived by her children: Robin Wright Lovett (Scott) of Hickory Grove, SC, Dana D. Wright Marchand (James) of
Rock Hill, SC, Debbie D. Kennedy of Statesboro, GA, William (Eddie) Wright Jr. (Tammy) of Knoxville, TN, and Michael M. Wright of
Rock Hill, SC. She also leaves behind a bonus daughter, Tracy Blackburn of
Rock Hill, SC, and a bonus son, Mike Kennedy of Statesboro, GA. Connie was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and a devoted great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Hoffman (Tim), and her brother, David Hillard (Sue), as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.
Connie served her country with honor in the United States Army, showcasing her commitment to her nation. After her military service, she worked many years as an auditor manager for the Internal Revenue Service, where her diligence and dedication were evident.
Connie was a woman of many passions. She loved sports, particularly football, and was a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee women's basketball team. An avid golfer and dedicated bowler, Connie found joy in both playing and watching sports.
But perhaps her most cherished role was that of a mother and grandmother. Connie was known as the kindest person anyone could meet. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome; she never met a stranger and opened her heart to all. Many of her children's friends referred to her as "Mom," a testament to the love and warmth she offered to everyone who crossed her path. Family was the cornerstone of her existence, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, whether gathered around the dining table or enjoying a spirited family softball game in the backyard.
Connie was not only an excellent cook but also the heart of family gatherings, especially during Thanksgiving. Her home was a sanctuary filled with the aroma of her delicious cooking, where her famous biscuits and delightful pecan pie were always a centerpiece. She believed in the importance of togetherness, insisting that everyone gather around the table for meals and ensuring that moments spent with family were filled with love and laughter.
A guiding principle in Connie's life was the golden rule: "If you can't say something nice about someone, then don't say anything at all." This wisdom reflects her compassionate and caring nature, which touched the lives of so many.
In remembrance of Connie, her family plans to hold a time of reflection on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 1:00pm at the home of Dana Marchand to celebrate her life and the countless memories they shared. As they navigate this profound loss, they take comfort in the legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that Connie leaves behind.
Connie Sue Hall will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the values she instilled will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
