Connie Rose Hewitt

Connie Rose Hewitt, 62, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 31, 2025. She was born on October 14, 1963, in Lowell, Indiana, to Joseph and Theresa Payne. Connie graduated from Portage High School in 1982 and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Hewitt, on April 5, 1986, after having met on a blind-date in 1980. Together, they raised two sons, Clinton and Austin.

After spending much of her life as a stay-at-home mother and working part-time, Connie returned to school at the age of 50 and became a certified phlebotomist-a milestone she was deeply proud of. She enjoyed painting, kayaking with her husband Bob, and, most of all, spending time with her family.

Connie's memory lives on through her devoted husband, Bob; her sons, Clinton and Austin; her daughters-in-law, Chelsea and Maggie; her beloved granddaughters, Olivia and Harper, and her remaining siblings, Mark, Matthew, and Cathy. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl, and her brother, Michael.

A celebration of Connie's life will be held at a later date and announced to family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
