Connie King Jamerson, born on September 29, 1945, in St. Petersburg, Florida, was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Myrtle Elvira Everett King.

She shared a wonderful life with her husband, Thomas Eason Jamerson, whom she married in September of 1965. Together they created a nurturing home filled with love and laughter until his passing in November 2008.

An inspiring educator for 28 years, Mrs. Jamerson dedicated her life to the students of Memphis City Schools. With her passion for teaching, she molded young minds in 2nd and 4th grades, leaving a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege to be in her classroom.

A devoted member of the Antioch Church of Christ in Ramer, Tennessee, Connie was a vibrant presence, deeply involved in her church community. Her faith and generosity touched many lives, as she was always ready to lend a hand or offer support, a true reflection of her servant heart.

Mrs. Jamerson was a wonderful mother to her three sons, James Franklin (and wife Jenny), Jonathan Edward, and Daniel Aram (and wife Maggie), and a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren—Hannah, Andrew, Nicholas, Piper, and Gracie Jamerson. She treasured these relationships, finding joy in every moment spent with her family.

She departed this life on February 3, 2026, at the age of 80, in Corinth, Mississippi, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith. She is survived by her sons and their families, as well as her brother, Mike King (and wife Pennye), and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sue King Shea, and three brothers, Jerry, Lloyd, and Maurice Ray King.

Connie’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, reminding us of the beauty of a life devoted to love and service.
