Ronald Wayne Jamerson, 71, passed away on February 12, 2026. He was born on August 1, 1954, in Farmville, VA. He was a retired general foreman for Asplundh Tree Company. He is predeceased by his parents, Aubrey and Mary Jamerson, and his sister, Sandra Grubbs. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his daughter, Rhonda Hamlette; his granddaughter, Jordan Finch; his brother, Melvin Jamerson (Vertia); and his nieces Roxanne Grubbs, Tammy Frank (Jimmy), Robin Kegley (Clint), and Tracey Gula (Tommy). He is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Leo, who traveled with him everywhere he went.
Ronald’s favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and metal detecting. He enjoyed good food, good jokes, and talking to friends. He liked to travel and favorite destinations included New Orleans, Ocean City, and Daytona for Bike Week. He was a history buff and a former member of the Nottoway Grays reenactment group.
Puckett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family night will be on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral will be held at Puckett Funeral Home on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 2:00PM, with interment at Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery on Route 45.
