Connie Jean Lafferty

Connie Jean Lafferty, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Connie was born on February 14, 1945, to Nial and Mamie Mullins. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to caring for others, working as a daycare provider for the majority of her career. Her nurturing spirit, patience, and love left a lasting impression on the many children and families she served over the years.

Connie is survived by her children: Debra (Brad) Ray, (William) Douglas Wambsgans, Melinda Lawrence (Amy Johnson), and Michelle Haus. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Zachary (Ashley) Ray, Breana Lafferty (Tyler Dewey), Sarah Adreon, Stephanie (Mike) Smith, Marcus Adreon, Josh Miller, Natasha (Kyle) Wade, (William) Michael Paul Haus, Devin Bailey, Alexa Johnson and Matthew Johnson; as well as 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nial and Mamie Mullins; her husband, Gilbert "Bud" Lafferty; her daughter, Vicky Spieker; son-in-law, Dave Lawrence and her grandson, Dimitrious Galvan-Wambsgans.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 6 th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Care. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
