Connie Marshall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moles Farewell Tributes & Crematory – Bayview Chapel on Mar. 9, 2026.
Connie Marshall, 74, of Mount Vernon, Washington, departed this life on February 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Connie was born on May 25, 1951, in Bellingham, Washington, to Donald Ray Johnson and Marjorie Harvis Riffe.

Connie graduated from Bellingham High School in Bellingham, Washington. Connie worked many years in the administrative field, and after moving back from Arizona in 2005, she worked at Fred Meyer, where she enjoyed preparing specialized dishes for customers.

Connie was a pillar in her family. She was a nurturing spirit, devoted to those she loved and cared for, always willing to dedicate her time to family and friends. Connie was the one people called for advice-whether it was about cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, or simply to share a good conversation. She had a sharp wit and expressive personality that brought laughter and comfort to those around her.

Connie was known for her thoughtful gestures and warm hospitality. When family came to visit, she made sure they never left empty-handed, often sending them home with a care package of food or a freshly cooked meal. She always made sure to offer her grandchildren a few of her favorite Werther's caramel candies or chocolate chip cookies, which you often found her snacking on. If her children or grandchildren weren't able to visit in person, they would often find surprise packages in their mailbox-filled with snacks, small gifts, and reminders that she was thinking of them.

Connie enjoyed gardening and loved planting flowers. Her fondness for frogs led to a cherished collection of frog memorabilia. She also loved keeping a schedule-whether it was her weekly phone calls with loved ones, planning outings for deals at her favorite food spots, setting aside time for her crossword puzzles, or making sure birthday cards were sent out to everyone she cared about.

Connie was a steady and loving presence in her family's lives. Though she is no longer with us, her goodness, kindness, and wisdom live on as a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who loved her.

Connie's memory will be lovingly carried on by: son, Travis Perry, and two daughters, Tracy (Eric) Buskala and Tara (Anthony) Martin; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Steven, Ashley, Jami, Katie, Trevin, Aliya, Olivia, and Anthony Jr.; six great grandchildren, Kaidyn, Noah, Kyra, Jesse, Kai, and Leonidas; and a host of extended family and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Connie is preceded by her parents, Donald and Marjorie Johnson, and brother, Ronnie Johnson.

Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Moles Farewell Tributes, located at 2465 Lakeway Dr, Bellingham, WA 98229, at 12:00 pm.
