Connie M. Tantlinger Miller, 71, of Liberty Township, died peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on March 28, 2025.
She was born and raised in Bolivar, Pennsylvania, in 1953 to Leroy and Mae (Riffle) Tantlinger. She attended Laurel Valley High School before going to work at Procter & Gamble.
Connie met her high school sweetheart, Thomas Miller, in 1969. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on November 4, 1972 in Ligonier Pennsylvania.
Connie and Tom went on to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them. Jeremy Miller was born on March 11, 1975, and Melissa Miller Hargis was born on February 2, 1978.
Connie’s favorite role was that of a grandparent to Seth (Lauren McCune), Zoë, and Logan (Mckenna Pennington) Hargis. She treasured her time with her grandkids, never failing to remind them that “what happens at grandma's house stays at grandma's house.”
Connie will always be remembered for her tenacity. We couldn’t have asked for a better parent, grandmother, sibling, or friend, and we will miss Connie every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Miller; her son, Jeremy Miller; her sister, Shirley Muir; and her brother, Robert Tantlinger. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Hargis, and her three children, Seth, Zoë, and Logan Hargis. Also surviving are four brothers: Irvin W. (and his wife, Betty Jane) Tantlinger, Ralph E. (and his wife, Patricia) Tantlinger, Ronald E. (and his wife, Ann) Tantlinger, and Vaughn E. (and his wife, Michelle) Tantlinger. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Marilynn Freeman (and her husband, Tom), and Barbara Ledwith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
