Connie Miner Obituary

Connie Mae (McCubbins) (Harnack) Miner 84, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away October 2, 2025. She was born June 11, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Juanita Helen (Fenton) (McCubbins) Lawhorn and Leroy Thomas, "Tom" McCubbins. Connie was also preceded in death by R. Michael "Mike" Miner, her husband of 44 years.

Connie is survived by a son, Jeff Harnack, and daughter Holly (Harnack) Davis; two grandsons, Ben Davis and Nick Davis (Brooke); a great grandson, Rhett Davis; a brother, Roy McCubbins (Darla); a sister, Jo McCubbins, and many nieces and nephews.

Connie was a 1959 graduate of Emmerich Manual High School. Attended evening classes at University of Indianapolis for 12 years, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1987. She became first credit analyst to become an officer of Merchants National Bank. Eventually became V.P. in Credit Administration at National City, retiring from there in 2008. Connie loved to travel, enjoyed practicing yoga, was a member of Indiana Historical society, loved genealogy research with family, and donated her time recording digital audio books for the blind at Indiana State Library. She will be best remembered by all for her kindness and generosity to others.

A funeral service for Connie Miner will be held on Sunday, October 5 at 1PM at Singleton and St. Pierre Funeral and Cremation Service, 7602 Madison Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, October 4, from 4-7PM and again on Sunday from 12 Noon until the time of service.
