Connie Mommer Obituary
Connie Mommer (Jensen) passed away peacefully September 1, 2023 at Mercy One Hospital in Waterloo with family by her side. Connie was born April 6, 1936 to Maurice and Winifred Jensen. She married Bernie Mommer June 6, 1953 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, lA. They lived in Cedar Falls for many years, and later in Waterloo. They had 3 children, Vicki, Monti and Lenne.
Connie worked at Helen's Lunch in Cedar Falls, the Cedar Falls Maid Rite and the Cedar Falls Daily Record, she retired in 1979.
She loved working in her yard and had beautiful flower gardens. There were many camping weekends and family vacations. She also loved to fish, many weekend trips to the Mississippi in Prairie Du Chein.
Connie is survived by her husband Bernie, daughter Vicki (Larry) Sabin of Waterloo, Lenne (Kim) Mommer of Elk Run Heights, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, son Monti Wayne, sister Sally, brother Arne, granddaughter Heather and grandson Dean Sabin.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
