Our beloved Connie Sue Wheat Bobbitt Pruss, 63, of North Little Rock passed away unexpectedly in her home June 23, 2024. She was born January 31, 1961, the second of four daughters born to the late Charlene (McCorkle) and the late James Wheat. To know her was to love her.
She is survived by her loving husband, David D. Pruss, Jr.; son, Marcus (Katie) Bobbitt; step-children: Bradley Pruss, Brent Pruss and Morgan Wells; seven grandchildren; and dear sisters: Diane Dixon, Tina Ussery, and Jamie Wheat. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Bobbitt.
She was a proud lifetime resident of Oak Grove and was a 1979 graduate of Oak Grove High School. She married the love of her life, David Pruss on July 9, 2016 and spent their years together making up for lost time. They loved fishing, camping, cooking and just enjoying life.
Connie spent much of her career in aviation and project management, making the life of all who worked with her more efficient and more enjoyable. She was a boss lady, and a powerhouse who never backed down and never gave up.
Her truest passion in life was her sons, Jason and Marcus. Connie dedicated her life to the betterment of theirs. She unfailingly supported them through all life’s adventures - the good, the bad and the ugly. She loved them selflessly and fiercely. Connie was loyal to a fault, and always had your back, no matter what. Her love lives on through her surviving sisters, son, grandchildren, and friends.
Connie was happiest surrounded by her children and grandchildren, and all those she loved. She could be found on her back patio in the sunshine, amidst her flowers with a cup of coffee in her hand, and her dog at her feet. She was a warrior in your corner. She was deeply loved, and will be deeply missed.
She would remind us that in the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. You may not have the chance again.
