Connie Lynn Williamson of Charleston, Arkansas, died Thursday, January 30, 2025, at her home. She was born on November 18, 1962, in Portland, Oregon, to Clyde Dale Rice and Mary Joan (Vaughn) Rice. She was 62 years old.
Connie was a 1981 graduate of Charleston High School and member of Life Church in Charleston. She passed away in her home after a long and brave battle with cancer and the world lost a one of a kind person. Her parents, children, daughter-in-law, oldest grandson, sister and brother-in-law were at her bedside. She had a heart of gold that was filled with kindness, compassion, and a deep generosity for others. Her ten grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she was always talking about them to anyone and everyone she was around. She was known as momma Connie by most because of her nurturing heart and love for everyone she met. She never met a stranger, and she never lacked any words as she shared her life with others. Her faith in God became her staying power throughout many trails with relationships and health issues. She experienced the Holy Spirit in a deeply personal way, and she was confident that her sins were forgiven and she would be joining Jesus in Heaven. Her faith and positive attitude was encouraging to many as she endured her final months of pain and suffering. She believed she was in the hands of God and that his timing was best. Her presence will be missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her. The world is a little less bright without her in it, but she would not want anyone to be sad over her leaving.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 6th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Terry Scott and Mr. Mark King officiating. Burial will follow at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Williamson; two daughters, Gina Millican and husband Chad of Fort Smith and Lauren James and husband John of Charleston; a son, Darren Hice and wife Brittney of Charleston; her father and mother, Dale and Joanie Rice of Charleston; a sister, Dana Rainwater and husband Jerry of Charleston; a brother, David Rice and wife Tammy of Charleston; her grandchildren, Landon Jones, Kennedy Watts, Maddi Hice, Hunter Smalling, Ethan Millican, Issac Smalling, Hadley Hice, Freya Hice, Coda James, and Kole James; two step-sons, Taylor Wagner and Jared Williamson; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers are Landon Jones, Hunter Smalling, Ethan Millican, Issac Smalling, Jayger Rainwater, Carver Sampley, and Haden Rainwater.
Honorary pallbearers are Chad Millican, John James, Heath Rainwater, Chase Rainwater, and Caleb Rainwater.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5th at the funeral home.
