Connie Jo Rutz of Windsor, CO passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2025. She was born in Sterling, CO on September 14,1949 to Lawrence (Lee) and Birdeal (JoAnn) Grossart. Connie was raised in Sterling, CO and graduated Sterling High School in 1967. She moved to Greeley, CO after high school and met Robert (Bob) Rutz and married in 1972. They were blessed with two daughters Missy Hein and Mandy Morrall. Connie was dedicated to the Town of Windsor by serving the Windsor Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years and did real estate for over 20 years. She took great pride in the Town of Windsor. Making memories with her family was very important to her. Her granddaughters were the light of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Rutz of Windsor; daughters, Missy Hein (Lauren McCauley) of Windsor, Mandy (Thomas) Morrall of Kersey; granddaughters, Kacey (Colby Frias) Hartshorn of Brighton, Rylee Hartshorn and Paisyn Morrall of Kersey. Her brothers, Don (Judi) Grossart of Castle Rock, CO and Randy (Machelle) Grossart of Duncan, OK. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and family including her best friend, Kathy Walker. She is preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center or Pathways Hospice Inpatient Center in memory of Connie. A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
