Connie Louise Ryan (Bridges), born October 13, 1947, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
She is preceded in death by father, Henry Jack Bridges; stepfather, Billy Powers; mother, Melba Foster Powers; brothers, Jack Bridges and Harold Bridges along with sister-in-law, Judy Bridges.
Connie was born and raised in Palestine, Texas. Her family eventually moved to Houston, Texas where they stayed for a few years until finally moving to Longview, Texas where she attended Foster Middle School. She went on to graduate from Longview High School in 1966 where she was the head cheer leader.
Connie enjoyed living and raising her children in the country surrounded by her animals. Connie spent her time running her business, The Farm. After selling The Farm, she worked in the mortgage business, worked for The City of Longview for many years making lifelong friends and ended her work career with Home Depot before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family laughing and cracking jokes. During her free time, she enjoyed a game or two of solitaire with Dr Thunder by her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother.
Connie leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Tony; Melissa; and Pete; grandchildren, Jonathan; Joseph; Thomas; Ashley; Heather; Hailey; Austin; and Lexie; 16 great grandchildren; 6 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews; 4 great great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
A graveside service for Connie Louise Ryan will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Memory Park Cemetery. The family would like to invite friends for a time of visitation on Monday, February 20, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in The Library of The Cammack Family Welch Funeral Home.
