Connie worked for many years as a cook for R.O.W.V.A. School District, retiring in 2000. She later worked at Courtyard Estates in Galva and Royal Oaks Nursing Home in Kewanee. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, often cooking and baking for those she loved. Connie was an avid crafter and enjoyed knitting. She was a supportive member of her communities, serving on both the Altona and Henderson Village boards at different times. Connie was a den mother in Altona when Blair was in Cub Scouts. Connie enjoyed camping and traveling and was an Elvis Presley fan. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
