Connie Smith

Connie Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on February 18, 1967, Connie lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and laughter that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

She was married to the love of her life, Eric Smith, and together they raised their beautiful daughter, Kristin Smith, who was Connie’s pride and joy.

Connie enjoyed a fulfilling career at CUNA Mutual, where she worked for over 35 years. Her dedication, integrity, and passion for her work were evident in everything she did.

She had a zest for life and especially loved spending time near the water. Boating, traveling, and relaxing by the ocean brought her peace and happiness. Connie also had a green thumb and found great joy in gardening and nurturing the beauty around her.

She will be remembered for her generous heart, infectious smile, and the many friendships she cultivated over the years. Connie was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express. Her daughter and granddaughters were her whole world.

Connie is suurvived by her beloved husband, Eric Smith; her daughter, Kristin Smith, and son-in-law, Tyler Olszewski; her cherished granddaughters, Hassie Luella Olszewski and soon-to-arrive Olive Ann Olszewski; and her loving mother, Carolyn Nevermann, along with many other siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She will be joyfully reunited in eternal peace with her grandparents, Ernest and Olive Kleinschmidt; her father, Vernon Duesterbeck; and her sister, Mary Lynn Cooper.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Winn Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee, Wisconsin, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
