Priscilla Ferch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory - Marshfield on Feb. 16, 2026.
Priscilla Madge Ferch, 96, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in Waunakee, Wisconsin, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication to her husband and family.

Priscilla was born January 13,1930, in the Town of Princeton, Green Lake County, Wisconsin, to Roy and Gladys (Jahns) Wicks. She lived her early years working on the family farm with her older sister Phyllis. She often spoke fondly of her cherished childhood memories of riding her horse, Bob, and the love of living on the land with her parents.

She met the love of her life, Arlan Ferch, as a teenager, while working at the same place of summer employment in Ripon, Wisconsin. They were married in 1953 in Princeton, Wisconsin, and shortly after their honeymoon they moved to Medford, Wisconsin. They moved three years later to Marshfield, Wisconsin, and lived and worked in the community for over 66 years. Priscilla was widowed on January 22, 2022, and moved to Waunakee, Wisconsin in July 2023 to be closer to other family members.

Priscilla was a devoted stay at home mom, raising eight children with affection, wisdom and patience. Known for her mischievous wit, and a warm kitchen filled with cooking and baking, she took immense pride in nurturing her children to be independent and thoughtful adults. As her children grew and raised their own families, she was always there to provide her vast knowledge and support, especially after the birth of a newborn child. She also took pride and pleasure in lovingly supporting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield, Wisconsin and served in the Ladies Aid for many years. Later in life she traveled extensively with her husband enjoying trips to music concerts, to New York to see Broadway shows, visiting family, and sightseeing in the United States and abroad. She also enjoyed driving her PT cruiser and accompanying her husband on pleasure drives throughout Wisconsin and all parts of the country.

Throughout the years Priscilla found joy in the simple beauty of nature, spending time nurturing her pansies, geraniums, and roses. She enjoyed feeding the chickadees, cardinals and robins in her backyard, and found quiet contentment in the changing of the seasons especially waiting to see that first robin in spring. A true Wisconsin sports enthusiast, she would passionately cheer on the Packers, Bucks, Brewers, Badgers, and the local Marshfield Tigers and the Marshfield Curling Club teams.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband, Arlan A. Ferch (a marriage of 69 years) her daughter, Sandra (Ferch) Clement, and son-in-law, Robert Clement, both of Cambridge, Wisconsin. She is survived by her son, David Ferch, (Becky Briggs) of Madison, Wisconsin, daughter, Cindy (Wally) Rogers of Westmore, Vermont, daughter, Sue (Peter) Deakman of Madison, Wisconsin, daughter, Lucretia Ferch, (Peter Taafe) of Bremerton, Washington, daughter, Yvonne (Donald) Halfmann of Columbus, Wisconsin, son, Daniel (Lisa) Ferch, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, and daughter, Heidi (Michael) Kastern of Waukesha, Wisconsin. She is survived by fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Priscilla was dearly loved by her family and adored by all. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday February 21, 2026, at Rembs Funeral Home, 300 S. Oak Avenue, Marshfield, Wisconsin where the visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time. Rev. Andrew Belt will officiate. A private burial service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield, Wisconsin immediately following the celebration of life service.
