Connie K. Taylor, 67, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, wife of the late Cecil Taylor, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Her memorial service will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC at 5:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be private at Beaufort National Cemetery.
Connie was born November 19, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico, daughter of the late Bobby R. Hamlett and Gayle Keene. She was a middle school math teacher, and loved reading, gardening, arts and crafts. Connie enjoyed taking care of her yard and plants, to her it was the ultimate therapy. She was also a member of the International Women's Association, and Who's Who of Professional Women.
She is survived by her three daughters; Sarah Joy Red (Rob) of Goose Creek, Stephanie Jeanne Taylor (Tyler Freeman) of Summerville, and Shaina Joelle Mims (Adam) of Summerville; two grandchildren, Jacob Gunter, and Clint Gunter; great grandchild, Malaya Bazzle; three brothers, Gary Hamlett, David Hamlett, and Michael Keene (Kim); sister, Laura Hamlett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Connie’s name to the Burn Center of MUSC, 18 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29425

I knew Miss Taylor, she is my math teacher rn before she passed away and she treated so nicely too its a shame that she died.
