Connie Jane Davenport White, 74, of Fletcher, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Four Seasons Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.

Connie was born in Elizabethton, TN, to the late Harold Davenport (d. 1994) and Anna Belle Davenport (d. 1990). A lifelong learner and dedicated professional, she was a 1968 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Relations with a minor in English, graduating cum laude from Milligan College in 1976, and later obtained her Master's degree in Biological Anthropology from East Tennessee State University in 1999.

Throughout her diverse career, Connie worked in retail management and distinguished herself as an avid primate researcher. Her passion for anthropology led her to serve as a representative for USAID in East Africa in 1997. Though she spent much of her life in Johnson City and Elizabethton, TN, she eventually settled in North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fraizer White; her sister, Gail Hicks; a special aunt, Martha Church; and her parents-in-law, Early and Mazie White.

She is survived by her son, Brandon White of Fletcher, NC; her beloved granddaughter, Aubrey White of Fletcher, NC; four sisters, Linda Baldwin of Elizabethton, TN, Patricia Gernt of Bristol, TN, Sharon Davenport of Elizabethton, TN, and Martha Davenport of Elizabethton, TN; and one brother, Steve Davenport and his wife, Leslie, of Elizabethton, TN.

At Connie's request, a private family service will be held at a later date. She will be inurned at the Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, TN, within the Mausoleum of Peace.
