Connie Lynn Whittaker

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Connie Lynn Whittaker, who left us peacefully on February 28, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on August 21, 1947, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, Connie spent her life dedicated to her family and her work, particularly as a valued employee with Wal-Mart for over 30 years. Her warm spirit and commitment to customer service won her many friends and admirers in the retail community.

Connie was a beloved mother to her son, Michael (Marcie) Whittaker, grandmother to Gavin Whittaker, Thomas Whittaker, Heather (Jeremy) Hunn and John (Brooke) Hankin; her kindness extended to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She cherished the time spent with her family and was known for her deep love of animals, embodying compassion and empathy at every turn.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Butch Whittaker, her parents Joy and Bud Ashford, her daughter Traci Graham, her sister Nancy Robins, and her brother Jim Ashford. The legacy of love she leaves behind will forever be in the hearts of her surviving family and friends.

A graveside service will be held in her honor at the Evanston City Cemetery on March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Prior to the service, there will be a public viewing at Crandall Funeral Home, starting at 1:00 PM. Connie will be laid to rest in a place where her spirit can continue to embrace the beauty of life and the love of her family.

Connie Lynn Whittaker will be deeply missed but will live on in the cherished memories of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
