Connie Renee Wilson was born on August 3, 1958, in Nashville, TN, to John P Norman and Mattie Lou Jackson. She embraced her faith early on, becoming a devoted member of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of the late Reverend Robert E. Holt. Later, she continued her spiritual journey at Gospel United Baptist Church, where she also served in the choir.

Educated in the Metro Nashville Public Schools, Connie graduated from Pearl High School in 1976. Following her graduation, she enlisted in the military in 1976, serving her country with honor until her honorable discharge in October of 1979.

In addition, she managed the Nashville State Tech Bookstore for 4 years between the transition of the two State of Tennessee Departments. In 1986, Connie started working at Walmart holding various positions until her retirement in August 2021. She was no stranger to hard work.

Connie made a lasting impact on those around her, spreading joy and love wherever she went. She was united in marriage with her beloved Henry D. Wilson on February 14, 1990, sharing 31 beautiful years together until his passing.
