Born June 8, 1933, in Lebanon Kentucky Died October 25, 2025, in Hermitage Tennessee
Predeceased by wife of 70 years Rebecca Ruth Durham Goodwin; Father Milton J Goodwin; Mother Pauline Brady Goodwin; And siblings, sister Mary Elizabeth, brothers Milton Marvin and Thomas Hugh.
Bob is survived by his children, Paula G Niemi (Charlie), Gary L Goodwin (Pam), Karen Nanette Barnes (Ronnie), Terri M Grigsby; Sister-Elizabeth Goodwin Holland; 6 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
His family moved to East Nashville in 1940 and he attended Eastland Elementary, Bailey Junior High and East Nashville High School from which he graduated.
He served in the Navy active duty from 1954-1956 and was in the Naval reserves before and after active duty. He was a Cryptology Technician and had the rank of Yeoman.
After the military he worked at McQuiddy Printing Company as a Lithographer from 1956-1998 when he retired.
He was a member of Eastland Baptist Church since 1941 and served as a deacon, as well as Chairman of the Deacons. He was a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years, and a member of the Sanctuary Choir.
He loved his Country, his God and his Family. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216, from 4 PM until 8 PM, and Thursday, October 30, from 10 AM until his funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will take place after Bob's service at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

Sorry to hear that Bobby has passed. Over the years at Eastland singing in the choir with him and the others was special. He was a great guy and i will always treasure the memories. Love always to the Goodwins. Eliot.
