John Thompson Bryan

September 1, 1982 - January 26, 2026

John Thompson Bryan, 43, passed away on January 26, 2026.

John was born on September 1, 1982, in Nashville, Tennessee to Kerry Thompson and Pamela Jean Bryan.

John is survived by father, Kerry Bryan, sisters, Jennifer and Stefanie Bryan, niece, Erin Biggs and grandmother, Jean Bryan Allen.

A carpool accident on October 31, 1995, left John with paralysis and a brain injury. Despite those deficits, John graduated from high school on schedule. Over the years, John had many stays in hospital and rehab hospital, mostly at Vanderbilt and Vanderbilt Stallworth.

Even though hospital stays were painful with multiple sticks for IVs, blood draws and injections, John never complained. He bore it all for years with a remarkable level of stoicism.

John will be laid to rest beside his grandfather, John "Jack" Thompson Bryan, in Spring Hill Cemetery.
