On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Connor Scott Morris, a beloved son, husband, brother and friend left us. After fighting a long hard battle he is finally at peace. While Connor has left us far too young, we know that he is watching over all of us.
Connor was born on September 14, 1997 at the St. Moritz Hospital in Sun Valley, Idaho to Lois and Dave Morris. He is survived by his wife, two brothers, sister, father and mother. Connor graduated from Wood River High School in 2016 and spent the entirety of his life living in the Wood River Valley and traveling the world whenever he got the chance.
From childhood Connor was a strong willed, enthusiastic, and extremely animated kid. At a young age, Connor developed many passions and obsessions from anything relating to the Lord of the Rings to shooting guns with his friends and riding four wheelers around the backwoods of his home. Connor was a sweet young man and always made lots of friends in any environment he inhabited. Connor grew to be thought of as a writer, stoic, and adventurer by his friends and peers.
No one can deny that Connor lived life to the absolute fullest. He experienced more of the world than most his age. His love for travel took him to many amazing places, allowed him to experience incredible cultures, and most importantly, meet some of the best friends in his life.
He met his soul mate, Ioana Pop, in 2019 working at Sun Valley Company. There was no doubt that their love was unconditional. They were married in Ketchum in September of 2021 on the Big Wood River by his favorite swimming hole. This past May they travelled to Romania to celebrate their love again with Ioana’s family. Connor and Ioana dreamed of moving to Romania to start a family. They lived in Ketchum with their two dogs, Nala and Kovu just blocks away from his childhood home where he grew up.
As we grieve the loss of an important member of our family and community we encourage everyone to think of their best memories with Connor and be sure to live life to the fullest in his memory! During this time we know Connor would remind us all of a favorite quote by J.R.R Tolkien, "End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take."
We will celebrate Connor’s life at the Church of the Big Wood. Please visit the website for further details on his Celebration of Life.
