Conor Sinclair Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 5, 2025.
God called Conor Sinclair home to heaven on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, after a valiant bout with cancer. He was 60 years old, gone far too early.

He was born in North Carolina on September 02, 1964. From the age of 2, he grew up with his mother Karin Ursprung (Guenzler) in Germany, first in his beloved Coburg, along with his maternal grandparents, and then in Cologne.

He met his future wife, Jasmin (Jenne) on Father's Day 2001 in the Eastern Market section of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. From that day forward, and marrying soon thereafter in November 2001, they were together until his untimely demise. They welcomed their daughter, Sophie, on the same day as Jasmin's birthday. Jasmin often joked that Conor would always remember their birthdays.

He proudly served in the USAF, deploying to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1992. He held a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Maryland and an M.A. from Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service in the Security Studies Program with a concentration in Intelligence.

Conor was a long-standing member of Clan Sinclair Association, U.S.A. and served as co-commissioner for Northern Virginia. A true patriot, Conor cherished his memberships in the Sons of the Revolution, the OSS Society, and Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22.

Conor was a valued member of Georgetown University for 17 years. He was a bilingual speaker of German and English and had a wide interest in cultures, languages, the Templars, and faith traditions such as Sufism and Zoroastrianism.

Please remember him for his zest for life, unending energy, kindness, dignity, humility, quick humor, and beaming smile.

He is survived by his wife, Jasmin, and their daughter, Sophie, in Alexandria, and his mother, Karin, in Germany. Jasmin and Sophie will continue to carry on his legacy.
