Conrad Howard Berg

St. Paul - of St. Paul died on Aug. 28, 2025, at age 89. Born in Minneapolis in July 1936, the Roosevelt High School graduate worked 44 years in newspaper production at the St. Paul Pioneer Press. From 1954-61 he sailed on annual tours with the Naval Reserve. Conrad was a beloved older brother to sisters Carole J. Wilson (partner, Richard Fata), of Arizona, who spent his last weeks with him; and Marilyn Berg Cooper, of California; and their late husbands, David Wilson and Gary Cooper. He was a cherished uncle to Marc Wilson (wife Stacey, son Connor; stepchildren Kylie, Chase and Khloe), of Arizona; and Rebecca Mühlethaler (husband Grégoire, sons Xander and Fox), of Switzerland. He leaves behind Berg and Hagen cousins; and goddaughter Kim Johnson, of St. Louis Park. Conrad, a helpful friend and neighbor to many, was predeceased by parents Howard and Constance Berg. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Washburn-McReavy and Hillside Cemetery for their compassionate and professional care. Conrad was cremated and is interred in the family plot at Hillside in Minneapolis. A memorial service may be held in 2026. Donations may be made to Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library.
