Conrad A. Blake, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was 78.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Conrad was the son of the late Charles L. Blake and Maida (Hushower) Blake. He graduated from Buchanan High School and spent many years working in the production industry, where he was known for his steady work ethic and quiet reliability.

Conrad had a lifelong love of motorcycles, classic cars, and photography. He was a proud gun collector and a devoted animal lover, often sharing stories about the pets who kept him company over the years. He valued independence and simplicity and found joy in the details, whether it was tuning an engine, capturing a moment through his lens, or spending time with those he trusted most.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Lori Blake of Buchanan, and by close friends Doug and Lisa Medlin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rink Blake, and by his dear friend and landlady, Naomi Pierce.

In keeping with Conrad's wishes, cremation will take place, and no services will be held. He will be laid to rest privately at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home – Hoven Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan, 5400 Niles Road St Joseph, MI 49085, honoring Conrad's love for animals.
