Constance A. "Connie" Cummings

Constance ( Connie ) A Cummings 71, of Abington, MA passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024.
Born in RI in 1953 and daughter of the late Thomas Gritman and
Peggy Ann Page. She later moved to Groton Vermont where she spent her childhood. Connie started her career as an LPN in Dorchester, Ma where she met the love of her life Robert Cummings. Together they raised their two children in Abington, MA.
She went on to use her love for creativity and spent many years as an Activities Director at Life Care Center of Scituate, MA. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, but the time she spent with her grandchildren was what brought her the most joy.
She was the wife of the late Robert Cummings for 40 years and the sister of Robin Santy and husband Gary, Karen Thurston and husband Peter, Penny Brooks and husband Elwyn, Wendy Kidder, and the late Cheryl Pare.
She leaves behind her daughter Petrine Hammond and her husband Rick of Hanson, and their two children Reese and Reid. Her son Sean Cummings of Bridgewater and his son Chase.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, of Whitman, MA, on Saturday December 14 at 3 -5pm with an intimate service at 5pm.
