Constance Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lee-Ellena Funeral Home on May 14, 2022.
Constance Elizabeth Davis, age 74 of Macomb, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2022 surrounded by the love of her family and into the arms of the angels.
Connie was born on November 18, 1947 in Grenfell Saskatchewan, Canada. She was the youngest of three girls born to Philip and Frieda Dech, and sister to Eloise Schaan and Ruth Germeroth. Connie attended elementary and high school in Grenfell, and after her graduation from high school enrolled in Concordia College, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She graduated in 1966, and then entered the Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois. She graduated from Concordia in 1968 with a B.A. degree as a elementary education major with a minor in art.
It would be at Concordia College in Illinois, that the Lord would bring Connie together with the love of her life, and future husband, Terry Davis. They would marry on June 28, 1969 in a beautiful ceremony. Together, Connie and Terry had three beloved sons; Jeff, Chris, and Josh. Connie was a wonderful mother, and truly her children meant the world to her. Later in life, Connie and Terry were overjoyed to become grandparents to their six beautiful grandchildren.
Connie taught grades 1 &2 in Houston Texas in 1968, Nursery School in Bronxville, New York in 1969, Kindergarten in Immanuel, Waldenburg in 1970, first grade at St. Peter Lutheran School, Macomb from 1980 – 1983, and four year old preschool at St. Peter Lutheran School, Macomb. Connie truly had a passion for teaching, and for many years inspired the young minds that came into her classroom. When she was not teaching her beloved students, Connie was attending the church choir, Ladies Bible Class, LWML, VBS, teaching Sunday school, organizing craft groups, and teaching piano. Her faith was incredibly important to Connie, and she and Terry where longtime parishioners at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb. For 25 years, she was very active in Lutherans for Life at the local, state (where she served as president), and national levels. Connie also loved to travel with her family, and photography.
Connie will be forever remembered by all who loved her.
Beloved wife of Terry Davis; cherished mother of Jeff (Liz), Chris (Heather), and Josh (Jean); best nana to Eli, Rose, Owen, Jacob, Eva, and Autumn; and dearest sister to Eloise Schann, and Ruth Germeroth.
Connie joins in heaven her parents, Philip and Frieda Dech.

Connie was a wonderful Christian woman. She and Terry hosted a Bible class in their home for many years. My husband and I looked forward to spending time with Connie and Terry and exploring the Bible together with them. Connie is now resting with our Lord in heaven. She will surely be missed by all of the people she blessed here on earth.
