Constance Ericson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joseph Farenga & Sons Inc. on Nov. 30, 2025.
Constance Alice Ericson (née Alex) of East Elmhurst, Queens passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Elmhurst Hospital after experiencing sudden heart failure at home during dinner. Her oldest daughter, Allyson, was with her in the emergency department at the time of her passing.
Connie was born on December 22, 1940 in Brooklyn, NYC. She arrived as an early Christmas gift to Bronislawa "Alice" Alexopoulous (née Daniels), an immigrant from Poland, and Michael Alexopoulos, an immigrant from Cyprus.
She graduated from Julia Richmond High School in NYC with a professional diploma, and worked as a Medical Secretary up until the birth of her first child. In her youth, Connie coached girls basketball with the CYO.
Connie was active in many organizations that made the world a better place, including over 30 years as a Girl Scout troop leader, leading the Ruth Guild at Atonement Lutheran Church, and rising to the title of Right Worthy in the Order of the Eastern Star.
In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking (her spanakopita was the best!), caring for animals (both pets & wildlife), word search puzzles, watching 'Jeopardy', and travel. She visited many states and also countries such as Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, England, St John USVI, and Bermuda.
She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband of 58 years, Glenn, and a warm & dedicated mother to her two daughters, Allyson and Kim.
Connie is survived by her husband Glenn Ericson, oldest daughter Allyson Becker (née Ericson) and son-in-law Don Becker, youngest daughter Kimberly Ericson, sisters Cynthia Aversano (John) and Elene Alex, and her furry grandchildren, Jimmy, Paige, and Ruby, and her extended family in the U.S. as well as in the UK and Cyprus.
She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
