Constance Gaines Obituary
Connie was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Donald, her parents Jay T. & A. Matilda (Wagner) Callard, her 3 sisters Erma, Irene, Lois, brother Clarence and their spouses, daughter-in-law Barbara Bruski Gaines, nieces, nephews, sons-in-law David McElhenny and Chester Hein, son Donald C. Gaines Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Trudy Hein and Dorothy Lea McElhenny, daughter-in-law Josephine Gaines, 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Connie was a charter member of the Clarendon Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a life member of Clarendon Methodist & Disciples United Methodist Church where she was the first Secretary for most of 25 years, retiring in 1991.
Connie's graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Monday September 29, 2025 at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Flight.
Connie's arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 16650 State Route 31, Holley.
