Constance "Connie" M. Kuether, age 94, died peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Pine Haven Christian Communities in Sheboygan Falls.
Connie was born in Sheboygan on July 7th,1930, to the late Albert and Claire (Mueller) Hierseman. She attended local grade schools and was a graduate of Central High School with the class of 1949. On February 3rd,1951 she married Eugene Kuether at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Millersville, now Howards Grove. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2019. They lived in the Millersville area for many years before moving to rural Cleveland and lived with their son Dan, later moving back to Howards Grove.
Connie's love for sewing started in the seventh grade sewing class; she continued with four years of sewing classes in High School. She made many things for her family and friends. After her children were in school, she taught Adult Sewing at LTI in Sheboygan. Connie taught there from 1975 until 1982. Later Connie and her friend Rosemary Juroff made items to be sold at craft shows throughout the state, where they spent many enjoyable weekends. She worked at Regency Dress Shop, Sheboygan, for several years and a short time later at Betty's Dress Shop, doing alterations. In 2000 when St. Paul's Church started making plans for the "Living Nativity" play and asked for volunteers to make costumes, she was happy to help. Connie was a member of the Ladies Aid for many years and enjoyed helping with all of their projects.
Connie is survived by her three children: Daniel Kuether, Cleveland; Alan (Shelly) Kuether, Howards Grove and Beth (Robert) Munnik, Kiel; her grandchildren: Bryan (Abbi) Kuether, Kiel; Brad (Stacy) Kuether, Kristin Kuether, Howards Grove; and David (Jamie) Munnik, Fond du Lac; her great-grandchildren: Madyson and Nolan. She is further survived by her sister: Nancy Leifer, Manitowoc; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene Kuether; her parents; sister: Judy Hierseman; brother: James Hierseman; sister-in-law: Joanne Hierseman-Otte; brothers-in-law: Jerry Mirsberger, Lee Liefer, Robert (Marilyn) Kuether, Richard (Elaine) Kuether and Herman (Amy) Kuether; her sisters-in-law: Irene (Milford) Henning, Ruth (Lawerence) Fischer, Doris (Harold) Fischer, and Vera (Howard) Williams.
Funeral Services for Connie will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (441 Millersville Ave., Howards Grove) with Pastor Adam Bode officiating. Burial will follow at Church Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made in Connie's name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM when brief family rites will be held.
The family would like to thank Pastor Adam Bode of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the staff at Pine Haven, as well as the caring staff from Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for everything they did for Connie to make her comfortable in her last days with us.
