Constance V. "Connie" McQuay, 89, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Traditions of Bristol Village. She was born November 26, 1935 in Everett, Massachusetts to the late Biaggio and Vincenzia DeMaggio. On June 24, 1960 she was united in marriage to Edgar F. McQuay who preceded her in death on September 26, 1990. Surviving are her children, Bruce (Sitina) McQuay of Watauga, Texas, Linda (Thomas) Viar of Grove City, Ohio, Gina (Larry) Gullion of Waverly and Michael (Lorna) McQuay of Waverly; grandchildren, Crystal, Brittany, Jason, Jeremy, Beckie, Billy, Glynna, Dane, Morgan and Michaela; several great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ann DeMaggio and a brother, Sylvester DeMaggio. Connie was a member of St. Mary Queen of the Missions Catholic Church in Waverly. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed bluegrass music, baking and spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Marys Queen of the Mission Church with Father Nicholas Droll officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Union Cemetery on Bridge St. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly. www.botkinhornbackfuneralhomes.com
