Constance “Connie” Miller, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, age 88, went home to her Lord and Savior, June 9, 2024 in West Bend, Wisconsin with family by her side. Her family is rejoicing that Grandma is now dancing with Jesus (NO LEG BRACE REQUIRED)! She was born in Ashton, IL on March 8, 1936, the daughter of Bernard “Bud” and Genevieve “Jen” (Vessel) Stadeble. Connie spent her formative years in Ashton and graduated from Ashton High School.  She was blessed enough to find her one & only true love in John Miller. They built a beautiful life together for 48 years most of which were spent in Oregon, IL until he preceded her in death on April 4, 2002. She was a woman of faith and showed God’s love and kindness in her daily life. Connie loved teaching Sunday School in her early years. She was a member of the Oregon United Methodist Church and believed in staying active in church including being involved in several women’s clubs. She was passionate about homemaking, always making sure that her family felt cared for and loved in her home. She was a great cook and infamous for her Christmas log and chocolate chip cookies. She was neighborly and was always available with a kind word or helping hand to those around her. She took that generous spirit and used it to help others by volunteering for Easter Seals for over 25 years. She loved to sew and was an amazing seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed being part of the quilting community and belonged to a quilting group in Oregon and then continued working on her quilts when she moved into the Cedar Community in West Bend, Wi. After moving to Cedar Ridge, she enjoyed coffee hour, visiting with friends, and going to Chapel service. Connie’s biggest passion in life was her family. In her spare time, she liked to sit outdoors reveling in the sounds of nature and watching the wildlife. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who made sure her family knew they could always count on her. She loved visiting with her family and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Crescence “Tootie” Stadeble. She is survived and missed by her son, Dan (Dawn) Miller of West Bend, Wi; grandchildren, Nathan (Kellie) Miller of Jackson, WI, Joshua (Jess) Miller of Kewaskum, WI and Benjamin (Sarah) Miller of Marshville, NC; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Anna, Toby, Riley, Sadie, Lacie, Stetson, Alaina, and; nephew, John Pierce and good friends, Sue Erickson, Brenda and Chuck McCourt, and Wayne Erickson.
