Constance "Connie" Thomas

Constance "Connie" Louise Reitz Canavan Thomas, age 75, of Erie, Pa. passed away on Friday October 6, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital.

Connie was born on September 22, 1948 in DuBois, Pa. to the late Bobby and Maxine Snell Reitz. She was the oldest of 9 siblings.

Connie is survived by her three children, Jennifer Louise Sweet, John Joseph Canavan, and Melinda Joy Canavan. She has eight grandchildren, DeAndra, Abigail, Nathan, Benjamin Jr., Alijah, Randwulf, Calista, and Nicole. She is also survived by her husband James Thomas; her two sisters, Judy, and Vera; her three brothers, Paul, Steve, and Johnathan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 brothers.

Connie was a lifelong servant of our Lord Jesus Christ and loved to share her faith with others. She will be remembered for her contagious smile, laughter, and warm embrace.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering, Monday, October 9, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at First Alliance Church of Erie, 2939 Zimmerly Rd. Erie.
