Constance Whitman

Born on July 21st, 1943 to Margaret and Charles Black in Somerville, NJ – Constance Frances Whitman went on to create 4 beautiful children that were responsible for her 10 beautiful grandchildren and 7 beautiful great granddaughters that she loved so much. She is also survived by a son in law that adored her. She was a legal secretary for many years with the US Navy and also in an insurance firm in Manhattan but the job she loved the most was being a mother and she was "over the moon" as a grandmother, holding close and special relationships with each and every one of her grandchildren.
She was kind and caring, loving, helpful and generous. Her friends became more like family because she adored them she loved harder than most people. For 80 years she touched every heart she encountered. For the people that love her, she brought a certain light to the world that makes it all seem a little dim now.
On August 13th, 2023, at 10:20pm Constance Whitman went on to dance and sing with her Lord, Jesus Christ - where she joined her sister, Diane Black and her loved ones that passed on before. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always by all that loved her.
Services will be held August 26th, 2023 at St. Joseph's Rosebank - 466 Tompkins Avenue Staten Island, New York 10305 @ 11:00 am provided through Hanley Funeral home. There will be a small gathering at Cielo – 1435 Hylan Blvd Staten Island, NY.
