Consuelo Young Obituary

Consuelo worked as a nurse for 35 years at McKenna Hospital. She loved to sew, crochet, cook and watch wrestling, and enjoyed her music, especially 'the King of Rock 'n' Roll' Elvis. She enjoyed the adventure of traveling and vacationing different places. Was an avid reader. And spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to be with her family and will always be remembered.
Consuelo is preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Young, Jr; daughter, Sylvia Y. Zamarripa; granddaughter, Monica M. Olivarez; parents, Jose and Eulalia; and siblings, Felix Gonzales, Refugio Gonzales, Catarino Gonzales, Eugenio Gonzales, Maria G. Hernandez, Nicolasa G. Castro, Frances G. Perez, Felicitas G. Gomez, Lucia G. Pena, and Librada G. Campos. She is survived by her children, Roy G. Young, Sandra L. Wesolick, Mary F. Ulloa, and Michael F. Young; 19 grandchildren; various great grandchildren and various great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Chris Zamarripa, Nicholas Zamarripa, Armando Marquez, Joe Young, Zachary Ulloa and Dylan Young.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lux Funeral Home in New Braunfels, TX. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery II.
